The Collective Thread offers free beginner sewing classes. We have had years of experience in Africa and St. Louis, Missouri training refugee women to sew and design while empowering them economically through dignified work. We accept anyone looking for a new career in this field and invite you to join our classes below!

On the job training
Our On the Job Training for 2023 is currently full, stay tuned for 2024’s schedule
Must have basic sewing skills
Must be interested in a full time job at The Collective Thread or another area Production Facility
Must be able to work in a training position, while being paid a minimum hourly wage, for three months
